B.A.D.D.
Fire TruckBoogey Lights lit up the B.A.D.D. (Bikers Against Drunk Drivers) fire truck during Daytona Bike Week. We donated a total of 273 orange Cut N' Click LEDs to provide awesome ground effects, illumination of the ticket tank, the front grill and interior lighting. The brain child of B.A.D.D. founder, Danny Perkins, this 1941 Ford F2 2-ton fire truck has been modified to carry a $150,000 guitar-themed, rock star and celebrity endorsed, 10 foot chopper or the ticket barrel from which the winning tickets for 10 bikes and 2 trucks were drawn at Bike Week 2008. There will be 12 bikes and 2 trucks given away at Bike Week 2009. The bike giveaway is the world's largest of its kind, offered in partnership with the world's largest Harley dealer, Bruce Rossmeyer's Destination Daytona. Buy your tickets now for the 2009 drawing. Danny found the truck at the Charlestown, GA Fire Dept. which bought it new and took it out of commission in 1965, They used it only for parades after that. It was originally used as a pumper. B.A.D.D. raffled off 10 Harleys and 2 trucks during Daytona Bike Week 2008. They have distributed over 3 million tickets and raised over $8 million for B.A.D.D. in 5 years. This is truly a cause worthy of everyone's support. (click any picture for a larger image) |
